Simple Single Veneer
This patient has had a tooth-colored bonding for many years on the right upper lateral incisor (#7). Unfortunately the bonding has broken and the exposed part was stained. We had a consultation with the patient and suggested to remove the remaining bonding material and make just a single veneer on the same tooth. The procedure is fairly conservative (non-invasive) where minimal amount of drilling is required. The only difficult part is to match a single veneer to the rest of the teeth. (this is why dentists usually recommend 4 - 6 veneers at a time so they all match in ...

Conservative Smile Makeover
This patient came to us because he hasn't been to the dentist for a long time. He knows he has some problems and does not love the look of his teeth. Our exam showed multiple large cavities that involves multiple surfaces and many of them are visible. We considered the pros and cons of fillings vs. crowns and decided to start with fillings and see how well they look and last. The procedure was quite involved and required delicate isolation of each individual teeth to make sure the fillings does not hang over onto the gum, which can cause chronic inflammation ...

New Composite (Tooth-Colored) Fillings
This patient came to us for an exam because he didn't like the look of his front teeth. Our exam showed the existing fillings are failing because there are more decay growing underneath them. The fillings are also heavily stained. We talked about the options of crowns vs. new fillings. Crowns are great way to lower risk of fracture for teeth with multiple fillings and improve esthetics. However, we couldn't do crowns on all the front teeth in this case because the cost was too high. We decided to attempt new fillings and make them look as good as possible. ...

Porcelain Veneers
Our lovely patient presented to us with two failing composite bonding on the front teeth. Needless to say, she wasn't very happy with the way they look. We discussed her options to replace the bonding with either new composite bonding or porcelain veneers. Porcelain veneers will last longer and have a much lower chance of staining on or around the tooth. After our discussion, patient decided to go for the porcelain veneers.
We removed the existing bonding and prepared the teeth slightly for the veneers and after a few visits they are finally seated! We are happy to say it looks ...

Potential Issues with Same-Day Crowns
This patient came to us because she didn't like the look of her front tooth. She said the crown was done the same day in her previous office and it doesn't match her other teeth. We recommended to replace the crown with lab-made porcelain crown and she agreed to give it a shot.
After we removed the existing crown, we found various dark stains that we were able to remove. We went through the process of a regular crown and waited for the crown to return from the lab while patient had a temporary crown. When everything was done, patient was ...

Invisalign Smile Transformation
Invisalign is a great way to correct malocclusion without the hindered looks of metal braces. Anyone who had braces would tell you it wasn't all that fun to have metal brackets on your teeth and constantly getting your cheeks scrapped. Invisalign trays are almost invisible and are easy to wear, they are the future of orthodontics.
Like braces, Invisalign cases can take a while to finish and we are glad to present one of them here today. This patient had braces when she was a teenager but she did not wear her retainers so the teeth had moved back to poor ...

Invisalign Smile Transformation
This patient presented to our office with crowded and chipped teeth. We have gone through composite resin to bond and repair the chipped teeth and using invisalign to straighten out the crowded teeth. The time lapse between the before picture and the after picture was about 2 years. Invisalign took about a year to complete. You can see the bonding we did on the top front tooth still looks great after 2 years. Patient is very happy and only need to wear retainer at night to maintain her smile.

We were able to squeeze patient in Monday morning for the procedure due to a cancellation and we were able to help her resolve her problem. Patient was very happy and will be very cautious when biting into hard food next time.

Broken and Decayed Filling | Gaps in Teeth
This patient came in today to fix her broken filling, but she also wanted to know if her open spaces between her front teeth could be closed. After evaluating her situation, the best treatment would've been porcelain veneers designed by a lab to perfect the smile design. However, porcelain veneers are expensive and they were not an option for the patient. Our only other option is to do a chair-side build up with composite filling material. This option is much tougher to do than the porcelain veneers because we do not have the smile design from a lab, but we ...

Close The Gap Between Front Teeth
This patient came to us for routine care and during the exam she informed us she's not happy with her gap between the front teeth. There are multiple options to close the space between two front teeth. The most conservative option, but most expensive, is invisalign and move the teeth. Invisalign would prevent any drilling which results in loss of tooth structure and the results would be permanent as long as the retainers are worn every night.Second option would be veneers or crowns. These porcelain restorations would require some drilling and loss of tooth structure, but it would prevent staining and ...

Removing White Spots and One Crown Fabrication
This patient came to us unhappy about her white spots she gotten after braces were taken off years ago around her front teeth. One of the front tooth has gotten worse and developed some decay. She wanted to know what can be done without spending a fortune. We recommended a crown for the tooth with the worst white spot and decay. For the rest of the shallower white spots, we decided to shave the external enamel slightly and see if the white spots will come off. White spots, or deminerlization zones, are mostly deposited on the outermost surface of the ...

Like most patients, she didn't have thousands of dollars to spend on a total smile makeover. In order to keep the treatment cost within budget, we made a treatment plan for her that followed the coverage of her insurance. The plan involved root canal therapy, crown, new fillings, and a new upper partial denture. The best part? Majority of the cost was covered by her insurance! Now ...

Toothbrush Abrasion and Grinding Teeth Repair
Patient came to us with some "dents" in her teeth. The "dents" around the gum line, also called abfractions, could be caused by a few reasons:
1. Toothbrush Abrasion: brushing hard and incorrectly with a hard brush
2. Grinding Teeth
Abfractions, are not actually cavities caused by decay and the usual reason for treatment are:
1. Sensitivity due to loss of tooth structure
2. Esthetic concerns, patient doesn't like the way the dents looks.
In this particular case, patient was experiencing a lot of sensitivity and didn't mind an esthetic upgrade, so we decided to treat the abfractions.

Composite (Tooth-Colored) Filling and Crowns
This patient came to us unhappy because of the broken and chipped teeth. The patient wasn't sure if anything can even be done and was going to just live with it. We examined the patient and were honest to say the case is not simple because of the bite. However, we did not wish to just give up so we attempted to restore the smile. We followed patient's bite pattern and designed crowns and composite (tooth - colored) fillings to accommodate patient's deep bite. We are glad to say the patient is much happier now with the results.
