Conservative Smile Makeover
This patient came to us because he hasn't been to the dentist for a long time. He knows he has some problems and does not love the look of his teeth. Our exam showed multiple large cavities that involves multiple surfaces and many of them are visible. We considered the pros and cons of fillings vs. crowns and decided to start with fillings and see how well they look and last. The procedure was quite involved and required delicate isolation of each individual teeth to make sure the fillings does not hang over onto the gum, which can cause chronic inflammation ...
This patient came to us for an exam because he didn't like the look of his front teeth. Our exam showed the existing fillings are failing because there are more decay growing underneath them. The fillings are also heavily stained. We talked about the options of crowns vs. new fillings. Crowns are great way to lower risk of fracture for teeth with multiple fillings and improve esthetics. However, we couldn't do crowns on all the front teeth in this case because the cost was too high. We decided to attempt new fillings and make them look as good as possible. ...
This patient came to us because he doesn't like his front filling and chipped teeth. While there were other dental issues, we understood the importance of having better looking teeth so we got right to work. We replaced the old bonding material that's discolored and repaired the chipped teeth. Patient was very happy with the results!
This patient came to us with a broken front tooth as an emergency. We were able to fix this problem on the same day with composite resin restoration. We also re-contoured the front tooth next to the broken one and at the end we were able to achieve a better look for the patient. The after picture posted here is actually a picture taken 6 months after the bonding was done. No additional stain or chipping was found. Patient was very happy with the results!
This patient presented to our office with crowded and chipped teeth. We have gone through composite resin to bond and repair the chipped teeth and using invisalign to straighten out the crowded teeth. The time lapse between the before picture and the after picture was about 2 years. Invisalign took about a year to complete. You can see the bonding we did on the top front tooth still looks great after 2 years. Patient is very happy and only need to wear retainer at night to maintain her smile.
This patient has been to our office many times for the last few years and she finally has decided to repair the broken front tooth and restore her smile. During our examination, we recommended patient to not only repair the broken tooth, but also to shorten the tooth next to it to achieve a better smile profile. We are happy to say that patient is very satisfied with the results.
This patient called us during the weekend informing us her front tooth broke after biting into something hard. We immediately got her in first thing on Monday to evaluate the situation. Luckily the break was clean and only needed a composite (tooth-colored) filling to restore the tooth. We were able to squeeze patient in Monday morning for the procedure due to a cancellation and we were able to help her resolve her problem. Patient was very happy and will be very cautious when biting into hard food next time.
This patient came to us for routine care and during the exam she informed us she's not happy with her gap between the front teeth. There are multiple options to close the space between two front teeth. The most conservative option, but most expensive, is invisalign and move the teeth. Invisalign would prevent any drilling which results in loss of tooth structure and the results would be permanent as long as the retainers are worn every night.Second option would be veneers or crowns. These porcelain restorations would require some drilling and loss of tooth structure, but it would prevent staining and ...
This patient came to us for routine dentistry and we found multiple cavities in the front teeth. Patient hates the look of the front teeth and asked us if we can fix them. We started the treatment with just doing fillings in mind for the front teeth, but decided to go a little further after we got in there. We ended up doing multiple services for this patient: removing decay, removing stains, filling the cavities, and repairing chipped edges. Patient was very happy with the surprised results at the end and we were happy to have made a difference!
This patient called us one day saying his tooth is broken from a fall. We immediately got the patient in and did composite, tooth-colored, bonding onto the front tooth. Patient left looking like nothing has happened!
This patient came in with a big cavity on the right canine tooth, can see the darkness through the tooth. There was also a small dark stain on the tooth next to it. We decided to do what we do best, tooth-colored fillings! The shade of the new fillings are nicely matched and polished, patient was very happy !
This patient came to us with an infected tooth, a broken tooth, a missing tooth, and an old filling that didn't match her teeth. Needless to say, she did not like her smile. Like most patients, she didn't have thousands of dollars to spend on a total smile makeover. In order to keep the treatment cost within budget, we made a treatment plan for her that followed the coverage of her insurance. The plan involved root canal therapy, crown, new fillings, and a new upper partial denture. The best part? Majority of the cost was covered by her insurance! Now ...
This patient called us and told us he had a chipped tooth and needed it fixed urgently. We got him in the same day and took care of it! It was a simple composite (tooth-colored) restoration that didn't even require numbing!
This was a case we did at the office to show what the composite (tooth-colored) fillings can achieve. Patient can consider to have ceramic crowns done in the future. This patient can smile with confidence after the procedure and we were glad to be a part of it!
Patient came to us with some "dents" in her teeth. The "dents" around the gum line, also called abfractions, could be caused by a few reasons: 1. Toothbrush Abrasion: brushing hard and incorrectly with a hard brush 2. Grinding Teeth Abfractions, are not actually cavities caused by decay and the usual reason for treatment are: 1. Sensitivity due to loss of tooth structure 2. Esthetic concerns, patient doesn't like the way the dents looks. In this particular case, patient was experiencing a lot of sensitivity and didn't mind an esthetic upgrade, so we decided to treat the abfractions. Matching to patient's dark tint and white stains were ...
A few subtle changes has made patient's smile better. We re-contoured some of the chipped teeth, removed stains, and replaced a darker old filling to a new filling that matches better and now the overall smile looks better. Simple, inexpensive treatments can go a long way!
This patient came to us unhappy because of the broken and chipped teeth. The patient wasn't sure if anything can even be done and was going to just live with it. We examined the patient and were honest to say the case is not simple because of the bite. However, we did not wish to just give up so we attempted to restore the smile. We followed patient's bite pattern and designed crowns and composite (tooth - colored) fillings to accommodate patient's deep bite. We are glad to say the patient is much happier now with the results.
This patient had cavities around the gum line of the teeth and did not like the way they looked. We recommended to remove the decay and restore the teeth with composite fillings. These types of tooth colored restorations is on of our specialties, so we went right to work! After everything was done, the patient was very happy with the results!
