New Composite (Tooth-Colored) Fillings

This patient came to us for an exam because he didn't like the look of his front teeth. Our exam showed the existing fillings are failing because there are more decay growing underneath them. The fillings are also heavily stained. We talked about the options of crowns vs. new fillings. Crowns are great way to lower risk of fracture for teeth with multiple fillings and improve esthetics. However, we couldn't do crowns on all the front teeth in this case because the cost was too high. We decided to attempt new fillings and make them look as good as possible. Based on the photos provided, patient was very satisfied with the results given the limitation of fillings. We will plan for crowns in the future if the new fillings start to have problems.
